AI Assistant Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 14, 2026.
AI Assistant helps users read, listen to, and analyze web content. An optional feature also helps draft and edit posts and replies on X.
Data processed
The extension may process the active page's text, title, URL, selected text, user prompts, visible context, and drafts on X. It may also process page images when the user enables image analysis. The user's own OpenRouter API key is stored in the extension settings.
Data transmission
Data is sent to an external AI service only after an explicit user
action. AI requests are sent only to
https://openrouter.ai. OpenRouter may route a request to the
selected model provider under OpenRouter's terms and the provider's
terms.
Storage
The API key and settings are stored in
chrome.storage.sync and may be synchronized with the user's
Chrome profile. Panel state and summaries are stored in
chrome.storage.local. The developer does not operate a
server that stores this data.
Text-to-speech
Text-to-speech does not use AI. Piper voices run locally in the extension. When Google TTS is selected, Chrome provides the available browser voice and may process speech according to the browser or voice service policy.
Use and deletion
Data is used only for features requested by the user. It is not sold or used for advertising, credit decisions, or cross-site tracking. Users can remove the stored key in the extension settings, revoke it on OpenRouter, and remove local extension data through Chrome.
Contact
Users can contact the developer through the support section of the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
